10. The Tasks Page

The Tasks Page is a hub for managing all the work you need to do across your commissions and projects. It gives you a clear, organised view of every active task, helping you stay on top of deadlines and streamline your workflow.

✅ 1. What the Tasks Page Shows

  • All active tasks across your commissions and projects
  • Tasks grouped by type (for example Create Draft or Prepare for Posting)
  • Tasks sorted by urgency, with the most urgent appearing first based on start date
  • Priority tasks grouped separately at the very top for extra visibility

This means you can see everything that needs to be done in one place—no more jumping between different project pages to check tasks.

✅ 2. Priority Tasks Always Come First

At the top of the Tasks Page, you’ll find the Priority Tasks section.

  • Priority tasks are listed under a Priority Tasks heading
  • They’re sorted by date of creation, with the oldest at the top
  • Priority tasks always appear here, regardless of their start date or deadline

💡 This is ideal for tasks that need to happen before a project officially starts, like responding to enquiries or preparing quotes.

✅ 3. Grouping by Task Type

Below the priority tasks, the rest of your active tasks are grouped by task type.

This grouping is really helpful for workflow efficiency because you can:

  • Spot similar tasks that require the same process
  • Choose to batch-complete similar tasks together, saving time and avoiding context switching

✅ 4. Task Details at a Glance

Each task on the page shows:

  • Commission or project title
  • Client name
  • Start date and deadline (if recorded)
  • A tickbox to mark it as complete

✅ 5. Completing Tasks

When you check a task’s tickbox:

  • It disappears from the Tasks Page (and the Planner Page)
  • It remains visible on the associated commission or project page, but with a strikethrough so you can still see what’s been completed

This keeps your active task list clean while still preserving a full history on the project record.

✅ 6. Why the Tasks Page is So Useful

  • Everything in one place → You don’t need to open each commission or project to see what’s pending.
  • Focus on what’s urgent → Priority tasks and soonest start dates appear first.
  • Work smarter → Grouping by task type helps you batch similar tasks for better efficiency.
